Topic Three, Rhinoceros, Creatures based on the text given in class

Based on the text given in class, about descriptions of different creatures, I created this artwork, which is an interpretation of the fourth description, a creature that can be interpreted as a reptilian.
For this piece, I used black & white analog photography, mixing two negatives by double exposure. Then I added color and drawing, digitally, using Photoshop, and Adobe Draw.

The other artwork I made was inspired by the first creature of the text, which, as I guessed, was a hippopotamus. I didn't draw a hippo though, I limited myself to follow the description from the text.

  4- Albrecht Dürer's rhinoceros compared to Hans Burgkmair's woodcut    I prefer Albrecht Dürer's print rather than Hans Burgkmair's. In my opinion, while Dürer's woodcut is less realistic, adding features like a horn on the base of the neck, and plates that look like armored and organized patterns like scales in the legs, the artist captured the essence, the mood, the spirit of the animal, drawing him as a menacing, fierce, and majestic beast. Topic Two: Pattern and Ornament. Assignment One: Kit & Instructions

 These are the instructions and materials needed to build my three-dimensional artwork, which took form based on a simple, two-dimensional drawing. This is the drawing I made in class. Materials needed:    -Air Dry Clay; 1/2 to 3/4 lb.    -Cardboard; 1 8x10 piece.    -Acto Knife.    -Adhesive Tape    -Pencil.    -Pencil Sharpener.    -Acrylic Paint; Colors White, Black & Cadmium Yellow. Step 1    -Mold the clay, using both hands, creating a curved form, compressed on one side, chunky on the other side. It should be 7 to 8 inches long, and 2 to 2 1/2 inches in its wider part.
